He was recently named All State Linebacker 1st Team, Top Defensive Player of the Conference and All Conference 1st Team Linebacker for 2011. Garrett has great football sense and a strong work ethic that drives him to compete and become faster and stronger. Garrett lead the Banks High defense to hold opponents to less than 20 points a game and was recognized as player of the week by local KUIK radio. He also has skills at offensive line starting varsity as a junior. Coaches and Scouts at the 2011 NW Prep Football America Combine all had solid comments about Garrett as a linebacker at the next level. Garrett is described as a leader on and off the field volunteering in multiple community activities such as coaching football and wrestling camps, meals on wheels, heart walk, relay for life and others.
