Scouting Comments

Head Coach, Mike Leibin/cell-805-402-9348/mleibin@conejo.k12.ca.us. "As the Head Football Coach at Thousand Oaks High School I highly recommend Rickey Minyard as a top football prospect for the class of 2011. Rickey is a Tailback and Strong Safety entering his second year as a Varsity athlete in the football program. Rickey is also a standout track athlete at Thousand Oaks High School, competing in the 100m,200m,400m,and jumps for our track program.Rickey has the rare combination of great size and speed for a Running Back. He has added almost 15 pounds to his 6-1 frame this off-season. Currently, he measure 6-1 205 lbs. Rickeys added weight, strength and explosiveness this off-season is one example of Rickey’s great work ethic he has shown in the two and a half years he has been a part of my program. Rickey played our A position (fullback/third wide receiver) as a sophomore, as well as serving as a back-up to John Lister (University of Hawaii) at the tailback position. In this role, Rickey demonstrated great speed, as well as solid catching ability out of the backfield and the slot positions. Rickey has also shown tremendous leadership skills for a Junior-to-be during the off-season. He has demonstrated great work ethic and accountability while juggling our training and participating full-time in the track program."
